Chapter History
What's New!
BCAC Launches New WebSite !!
A brand new website is now up and running. Come on and take a look around!!
The year was 1983. A small group of sorors met at
the home of Gloria Marrow to discuss the possibility of forming a Delta chapter
in Baltimore County. Gloria petitioned the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter for
approval and support. For the remainder of 1983 and 1984, other Deltas
living in Baltimore County were invited to join the fledgling group to prepare
materials for national recognition. When the letter arrived stating that
the chapter would be chartered on December 15, 1984, the excitement was too
great to measure. It was a champagne kind of day. Songs were
written. The Pikesville Hilton was the chosen location. Invitations
were mailed to surrounding chapters. Sorors practiced speaking parts,
walking in, walking out, and singing the chartering song. On a magnificent
Saturday, Madeline Lawson chartered the chapter in one of her first official
roles as Regional Director. BCAC was beginning a journey shaped to its
purpose
