Scholarship and Standards CommitteeThis committee develops and administers the scholarship program of the chapter and makes recommendations to the Executive Board of the names and qualifications of scholarship recipients. The Baltimore County Alumnae Chapter (BCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose goal is to be of service to the community through outreach service programs. One of their programs is education. It is through this program that they award scholarships to qualified students. BCAC has awarded thousands of dollars for scholarships over the past twenty-four years. BCAC offers two scholarship programs. Leadership, Educational and Achievement Development (L.E.A.D.) Scholarship This scholarship is a four to five year scholarship for a qualifying student who can maintain an average of 2.5 or higher Grade Point Average G.P.A. for its renewal. B.C.A.C. Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is given in honor of our deceased Sorors and is a single year scholarship. This is a one time award for a qualifying student. Scholarship applicants must live in Baltimore County and/or attend a school in Baltimore County. Only high school seniors are eligible to apply.
